Who controls your information
NextBuyer Ltd is the controller of the personal information described in this notice. Contact us at team@nextbuyer.co.uk about privacy or your data-protection rights.
Information we collect
- Contact details, such as your name, email address and telephone number.
- Property-project information you choose to provide, including buying stage, aims, budget range and support needs.
- Waitlist, enquiry and communication records.
- Account, login and dashboard information where you create an account.
- Technical and usage information, such as IP address, device, browser, security logs and cookie choices.
- Payment and transaction records where you buy a service. We do not normally store full card details ourselves.
Please do not send special-category or highly sensitive information unless we specifically ask for it and explain why it is needed.
How we use it and our lawful bases
- To respond to enquiries and Property Project Review requests: taking steps at your request before a contract and our legitimate interests in managing enquiries.
- To provide accounts, tools and paid services: performing our contract with you.
- To run the waitlist and send requested launch updates: your consent. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To keep the website secure, prevent misuse and improve reliability: our legitimate interests and, where applicable, legal obligations.
- To keep business, tax and transaction records: compliance with legal obligations.
- To send other direct marketing: consent, or another basis permitted by electronic-marketing law. Every marketing message will include an opt-out.
Who we share information with
We may share information only where needed with hosting, email, form, customer-support, analytics, security, payment and professional-service providers acting under appropriate arrangements.
We may also share information with an independent property professional when you ask us to make an introduction or otherwise authorise the sharing. That professional may act as a separate controller and should provide their own privacy information.
We may disclose information where required by law, to protect legal rights, or as part of a genuine business sale or restructuring.
International transfers
Some suppliers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we use an available legal safeguard, such as UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual protections, and take appropriate supplementary measures where required.
How long we keep information
- Unsuccessful general enquiries: normally up to 24 months after the last meaningful contact.
- Waitlist records: until you unsubscribe, the launch-update purpose ends, or the record is no longer useful, subject to suppression records needed to respect opt-outs.
- Customer and transaction records: normally six years after the relevant relationship or transaction, where needed for tax, accounting or legal claims.
- Security logs: for a proportionate period based on security need.
We may retain information for longer where a legal dispute, regulatory requirement or safeguarding need makes this necessary.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to access, correct, erase or restrict your information; object to certain uses; receive portable data; and withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. Some rights are subject to legal exemptions.
Complaining about data use
Please contact us first at team@nextbuyer.co.uk so we can try to resolve the issue. You also have the right to complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office.
